Modern LNG carriers like ****** navigate complex operational landscapes where cargo integrity directly impacts safety and profitability.
Handling cryogenic methane, ethane, and propane requires systems capable of identifying minute leaks within high-noise environments. Traditional methods often fail to localize leaks efficiently, especially during active operations with machinery running at 100+ dB noise levels.
The December 4th testing aboard the LNG utilized our HZ-HA-170P Professional Edition featuring:
Butane (CCR calibration):
During the test the gas flow was kept in different direction - See below

The second test was made on leak prepared on cargo (propane) installation – slightly stronger than human breath – see below.
Cargo compressor was running in the gas plant during the test.

The leak at cargo system detected by HERTZINNO acoustic camera.

Cargo (propane) leak detected from different side.
Third test was carried out on two vales of cascade freon system. Upper or lower valve was leaking – HERTZINNO without mistakes detected leaks.
Freon upper valve’s leaking and detection mark of HERTZINNO, and the same leak detected from longer distance:

The leak detected at lower freon valve from distance around 1.5 m

Fourth test was prepared at compressed air in engine room at aux. engine – see below.

The same leak detected from opposite side

Building on the HZ-HA-170P's proven capabilities, our third-generation HA3LX Acoustic Camera introduces groundbreaking enhancements:
- Gas Engineer
"For cascade systems where Freon leaks disrupt refrigeration efficiency, this instrument delivered unambiguous localization. The ATEX certification allowed safe deployment during gas-freeing operations."
Master's Assessment: "This technology represents a paradigm shift in gas carrier safety management. We anticipate the methane-specific capabilities of HA3LX will further enhance our bunkering and cargo transfer procedures."
